Background

Have you ever thought about what life really is? Why we are here? What we are trying to accomplish? What do we do when bad things happen? How can we celebrate fully when we experience joy? These are great questions and if you have ever been on a journey…things we all experience. Life is a journey and my hope is we can share it together. These posts will be about life and I welcome your feedback.

So here is a little bit about me: Originally from Daytona Beach, FL., I now work and serve in the Auburn, Alabama area. My love and passion is serving with Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) which we started in 1998. ARM’s vision is ending substandard housing in rural Alabama and making Sweet Homes for Alabama. Because of my work with ARM, being a licensed home builder and Deacon in the United Methodist Church facilitates my service. On the side, I serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Alabama National Guard as a logistician.

My passion is developing young adult leaders and helping them become problem solvers for the complex issues we face; especially housing. It is also mentoring and coaching in discipleship and our walk with Christ. Speaking and sharing is a highlight of my time with young adults and anyone who wants to listen. For fun, you will find me reading voraciously (3-4 books at a time), cycling, and walking my dog, Starbuck. Which implies how much I love coffee and great conversation.

Glad to have you on this journey with me!
